Regarding the world at large we are living in turbulent times.

The war and the tension in the Middle East, the natural catastrophes in Myanmar and in China and so on and so on...

But it also happens that compared to how Myanmar authorities are handling the disaster now, Chinese government does not look quite as useless, stubborn and outdated as it looked to some in the light of the Tibet case.

And what about Clinton and Obama?
Didn't it seem that with every day Hillary was holding up her candidacy she was about to weaken the Democrats' position as a whole?
Now it almost seems that the opposite is the case. Hillary delivering a world class fight does not only showcase this woman's outstanding determination, it also makes Barack Obama evermore battle-tested and eventually more likely to succeed against Senator McCain with every minute she is running.

An interesting year, this 2008.
By far not over yet... - But as a whole, one does get the feeling, after all, that we are on a good path.
