Im Sommer ist Berlin Paris
chelsea farmer's club - cfc_albert
(sonst eher irgendwo zwischen London und Москва́)
Wunderbares Album auch. - Or as Christi Cozmiuc from Romania puts it in her Amazon review:
"CAN YOU SPELL "SPECTACULAR"?
This one's defenetly on my top 3 of the best albums i ever heard. After I first put it in my cd player and pressed play I was blown out. So, I said to myself "OK... This is only the first song... I bet the rest of the album is also made of great acid jazz music". But no! It was beyound great acid jazz (actually beyound any kind of music I listened before and i really can't inculde it in one music genre). Second by second, song by song it just kept sounding better and better.
By the time it started plaing "Paris Paris" I was crying tears of joy just like a baby. The second part of the album is even better. I really love the way the suicidal lullabye "Driving into delerium" melts into kinda-Mike-Oldfield-highly-optimistic-sounding "The revenge of the flowers". "In the absence of the parisienne" is a hipnotising beautiful kinda chill out/jazz song wich has a resigned feel into it, when Malcolm whispers "...You don't drive a big fast car / You don't look like a movie star..."
This album really caught me with my guard off, striking my heart, and leaving me with so much happiness in it, that it could have bursted out.
Je t'aime...je t'aime... Malcom Mclaren, je t'aime... "
